Job Title: Manufacturing Expeditor
Department: Supply Chain
Role Purpose
The Manufacturing Expeditor is responsible for monitoring the manufacturing processes of the supplies for the Project.
Reporting Lines
Direct Reporting Relationships:
Manufacturing Expeditor Manager / Supply Chain Director
1. Project
Work with Activity Managers, assess the manufacturing process, and ensure delivered supplies meet schedule.
Collect monthly reports from vendors.
Contact vendors, verify supplies, and inform Project Managers of potential delays.
Coordinate with the Quality department for inspection visits.
Collaborate in the preparation of contract amendments.
Pursue, check, and register bank guarantees issued by suppliers.
Collaborate with the Project Control Manager for updates on delivery timelines.
Compile, record, and report project performance and progress to management and key stakeholders. Management and feeding of a complex Excel sheet that shall be useful for the rest of the project team members and clients.
Attend and conduct the manufacturing part of the Kick-off Meetings (KoM), explaining requirements, annexes included in the contract, and the procedure to be followed to avoid complications during the operation.
Team Management
Coordinate with other team expediting members on the status of manufacturing processes.
Work Contacts
Travel required.
Working Conditions
EPC Management on Water and Environmental projects, including hydraulic infrastructures, desirable track record on mega size Desalination Projects.
Necessary Knowledge and Experience
Experience of 2-5 years in a similar position in engineering and/or industrial construction companies, valued in the water sector.
Computer skills (Ms. Office, ERP/SAP MM, Opentext/Aconex/ThinkProject).
Education and Certification Minimum Requirements
Officer, Administrator, or similar.
Languages
High level of English both spoken and written; C1. French is desirable.
