Primary Purpose of the Job
The Head of Marketing and Events is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that enhance the visibility and reputation of Thames British School while also ensuring the successful organization and execution of school events. This role plays a key part in engaging students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders to foster a strong and vibrant school community.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Responsibilities (Reporting to the Managing Director)
* Develop and implement a marketing strategy aligned with the overall strategic vision to promote the school’s brand and enhance its presence across various channels.
* Collaborate with the stakeholders to design an educational product to address needs of the organisation´s target customer groups.
* Develop meaningful collaborations with other institutions and organisations to promote the school and its vision and values.
* Collaborate with the stakeholders (school management, academic leadership, admissions, operational management) to enhance the customer experience standards in the school.
* Lead customer journey roadmap design, engineering and revision in the organisation.
* Analyse market trends and competitor activity to refine marketing strategies and enhance brand positioning.
* Work closely with the academic and administrative teams to align marketing efforts with the school’s strategic goals.
* Collaborate with an external marketing agency, which provides additional support to the school, ensuring seamless coordination between in-house marketing initiatives and outsourced services.
* Oversee the website, social media platforms, and digital marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand identity.
* Collaborate with the admissions team to support student recruitment and retention efforts through targeted campaigns.
* Plan and manage open days, school fairs, and exhibitions to attract prospective students and families.
* Create and coordinate the production of marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and digital content.
* Establish and maintain relationships with external media, press, and education networks to promote the school effectively.
Event Coordination Responsibilities (Reporting to the Headteacher)
* Plan, coordinate, and execute school-wide events, including:
* Extracurricular Activities (ECAs)
* Summer School
* Year 13 graduation
* Parents – students’ activities
* Family BBQ Day
* Thames Mile
* Charity events
* Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality experiences.
* Build relationships with service providers and sponsors to enhance event execution.
* Ensure high levels of participation from students, staff, and parents in school events.
* Work closely with the marketing and admissions teams to promote and advertise events both internally and externally.
