Eu Innovation Business Development Manager – Mobility/Industry
Location: Madrid, Community of Madrid, ES

We are currently looking for an EU Innovation Business Development Manager (Mobility/Industry). Your main functions will be:
1. Networking and proposal writing:
1. Analysis of Work Programs, topics, EC documents, regulations, technology platform documents, and research agendas.
2. Represent Leitat in European platforms and other thematic and strategic events and conferences.
3. Organisation and leadership of brainstorming and concept development.
4. Partner search, consortium building, and ensuring the quality of submitted proposals.
5. Writing and leadership of proposals, defining roles allocated to people involved, and setting schedules and deadlines.
6. Drafting proposal budgets according to EC requirements and funding rules.
7. Internal evaluation of proposals.
8. Working closely with consultancies and ensuring the quality of submitted proposals.
9. Submission of proposals to the funding bodies.
2. Business development:
1. Definition of the strategy and priorities of Leitat and promotion of Leitat’s capacities and activities in the mobility and/or manufacturing sector.
2. Establish and maintain close relationships with key thematic EU stakeholders.
3. Keep an overview of all ongoing activities within the strategic area both at national, international, and private levels.
4. Develop, analyse, monitor, and coordinate meetings/participants for strategic sectors/areas.
5. Ensure Leitat visibility and competitiveness within national and European research ecosystems.
6. Grow Leitat business both within existing research lines and by establishing new research lines.
7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with specific National Contact points.
What do we expect from you?
Candidates must have at least 3 years of proven experience in a research, technology, or industry environment within the mobility, Industry 4.0 or materials sectors, with a strong background in public funding. M. Sc. in Science or Engineering, European studies or PhD will be viewed favourably.
Experience:
1. Knowledge of EU funding programmes.
2. Proven experience in successful writing, submission, and management of EU proposals/bids.
3. Proven experience in coordinating H2020 and/or Horizon Europe proposals/bids (e.g., Cluster 4-5 and/or CleanAviation and/or EURail).
4. Experience in sourcing relevant market data for developing and managing proposal submissions from concept to implementation with a major focus on market exploitation.
5. Understanding of the administrative and financial rules (mainly for Horizon Europe).
6. Knowledge on technology transfer and commercialization as well as international experience will be positively evaluated.

Languages: Advanced English level is a must. Spanish or other EU languages will be positively evaluated.
