POSITION OVERVIEWThe role covers responsibility for the management of Indirect Tax (VAT / Customs / Excise) for the Revlon International business. The role will be based out of the Barcelona office and will have 2 Indirect Tax Specialists reporting to the role.The role reports into the VP, International Controller and has an indirect reporting line to the VP, Head of Global Tax.MAJOR DUTIESManage & coordinate indirect tax related activities - including tax calendar, tax compliance reporting, filings and monitoring to ensure 100% compliance.Oversee the preparation, review, and timely submission of VAT filings across International.Provide indirect tax support to all International legal entities on business operations, new business projects and organisational changes.Study, examine & advise with respect to tax implications of strategic/expansion decisions & new projects of company.Ensure effective and efficient completion of indirect tax compliance activities and take responsibility for monitoring and maintaining an effective internal indirect tax control environment.Managing queries from tax authorities will and dealing with tax audits and investigations.Review and document VAT/GST processes in line with the governance framework for as is and to-be throughout the implementation as it progresses from geography to geography.Develop a network and partnerships relevant to indirect tax processes and projects and provide them with the necessary information, training, guidance, and instructions to fulfill Indirect tax related activities in a timely manner and through automated processes.Develop and maintain knowledge of VAT/GST tax laws and current developments. Ensure any changes in legislation are incorporated into the business and relevant stakeholders informed.Familiarity with ERP applications such as Hyperion (HFM), SAP and JDE (e.g. trial balance, account activity details, Hyperion retrieve etc.) is a plus.EXPERIENCE10 years’ experience in International Indirect Tax gained either within industry or consulting. Experience dealing with multi-jurisdictional transactions and supply chain for companies with a global footprint.Strong VAT knowledge, with experience in providing commercially focused indirect tax advice. Experience of working with partially exempt businesses and/or Customs and Export Control knowledge.Chartered Tax certification Chartered Accountant certification or equivalent. Proven expertise in analysis, planning and decision making.Solid VAT knowledge paired with sound finance know-how Knowledge of SAP is an asset.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESEssentialProactive, well organized, fast learning, positive, team player but autonomous.Personality to work on business cases with multidisciplinary complexity.Strong Interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.Able to identify problems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods.EDUCATIONUniversity degree or equivalent in business administration/economics/law or vocational training with additional qualification.Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
