The Automation Benefits Tracking Lead will be responsible for measuring and reporting on the value delivered by our Intelligent Automation initiatives.
This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to integrate data from multiple automation platforms (including UiPath and Power Automate), and extensive experience with Power BI.
The successful candidate will possess strong business acumen to translate data insights into actionable intelligence for stakeholders and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Data Collection & Management: Gather, consolidate, and validate data from various automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate) and other business systems.
* Develop and maintain data models to support accurate and timely reporting on automation performance and benefits.
* Dashboards & Reporting: Design, build, and maintain advanced dashboards using Power BI to track automation metrics, ROI, and efficiency gains.
* Ensure reports and dashboards meet stakeholder needs by presenting data in a clear, actionable format.
* Automate reporting where possible to provide real-time insights.
* Benefits Definition & Tracking: Collaborate with business units to define relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for automation initiatives.
* Monitor and analyze benefits realization (cost savings, productivity gains, error reduction, etc.) and provide regular updates to senior management.
* Develop and refine benefit-tracking methodologies, ensuring consistent measurement across all automation projects.
* Business Acumen & Analysis: Interpret business requirements and align analytics, reporting, and dashboards to drive strategic decisions.
* Provide detailed performance analysis and recommendations for optimizing automation use cases, highlighting potential areas for improvement or expansion.
* Collaborate with finance, operations, and process owners to contextualize data, ensuring MI (Management Information) aligns with overall business objectives.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Intelligent Automation teams, IT, Finance, and other key business partners to understand data needs and deliver targeted insights.
* Present findings and insights to non-technical audiences, adapting communication styles to effectively convey business impact and opportunities.
* Gather feedback on existing dashboards and reports, iterating solutions based on user input and evolving business goals.
* Continuous Improvement & Best Practices: Stay up-to-date on Power BI features, data analytics trends, and best practices for automation benefit measurement.
* Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, enhance reporting efficiency, and improve data quality.
* Champion the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Experience & Technical Skills: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a data analytics or reporting role, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights.
* Advanced proficiency in Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling); experience with other BI tools is a plus.
* Familiarity with UiPath, Power Automate, or similar automation tools and their data output structures.
* Strong SQL skills; knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance best practices.
* Business & Soft Skills: Ability to contextualize data insights within broader business objectives and communicate financial or operational impact.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear, concise manner.
* Strong interpersonal skills with experience in cross-functional teamwork; able to partner effectively with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors.
* Demonstrated analytical thinking and creative problem-solving capabilities.
