The role of Sales Engineer - App Distribution:
As a Sales Engineer – MAD, you'll be the technical advisor supporting both pre-sales engagements and Level 2 technical support for Applivery's Mobile Application Distribution (MAD) solution. You'll work closely with customers, sales teams, and product teams to ensure seamless adoption, API-based integrations, CI/CD workflows, and enterprise mobile application management. This role requires deep expertise in API development, DevOps, and MDM solutions, along with strong customer-facing skills to provide guidance, troubleshooting, and technical advocacy.
What You'll Do
1. Sales & Solution Engineering
o Collaborate with Sales to position MAD as the ideal solution for enterprise app distribution.
o Deliver technical demos, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and API-based integrations.
o Assist customers in integrating MAD with CI/CD pipelines for mobile app deployment.
2. Level 2 Technical Support
o Act as an escalation point for App distribution-related technical issues, including API integrations, app deployment, and authentication.
o Troubleshoot app distribution and compliance policy enforcement.
o Work with Engineering to escalate product bugs and feature requests.
3. Customer Enablement & Technical Advocacy
o Provide guidance on app distribution best practices, API automation, and security compliance.
o Maintain technical documentation, knowledge bases, and troubleshooting guides.
o Train internal teams on App distribution technical architecture and API capabilities.
4. Continuous Learning & Innovation
o Stay up to date on API automation trends and DevOps best practices.
o Improve internal tools, support processes, and automation workflows.
o Represent Applivery in webinars, tech meetups, and enterprise mobility events.
What You'll Need
1. 3 years of experience in pre-sales, technical support, or DevOps-related roles.
2. Strong knowledge of REST APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, API Keys), and debugging tools (Postman, Insomnia, cURL).
3. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitrise, Azure DevOps).
4. Familiarity with mobile app distribution workflows (Apple Enterprise Distribution, Google Play Managed Distribution, MDM-based deployment).
5. Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging deployment logs, API responses, and CI/CD failures.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills to simplify complex technical concepts.
7. Bonus: Experience with mobile app signing, certificate management, and provisioning profiles (Apple, Windows, Android).
