About British Council - Spain
British Council Spain operates a network of teaching centers throughout the country, delivering English teaching to approximately 30,000 students every year.
Role Purpose
To promote and ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English.
Main Duties :
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English language teaching that meets the needs of different customer groups.
2. Monitor and assess progress and provide regular feedback to help manage students’ performance throughout the course.
3. Complete teaching-related administrative tasks to specified standards.
4. Ensure safeguarding and guidelines are applied and upheld in line with standards and policy.
Qualifications
Essential
1. Undergraduate degree (in any discipline).
2. Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Certificate TESOL.
Desirable
1. Recognised Diploma in English as a foreign language (e.g., DELTA or Trinity Diploma).
2. A Postgraduate Certificate in Education or Bachelor of Education in primary or a relevant secondary subject.
Work Experience :
Essentials
1. 1 year post-certificate experience (CELTA or Trinity Certificate TESOL).
2. Experience in teaching relevant age groups specific to the center.
Salary & Benefits
Salary - Euro 12,015.00 - 13,918.20 gross annually (depending on the working hours offered & education).
Contract type : Part time (15.5 hours a week)
Nationality requirements : Applicants must be EU nationals or have the right to work in Spain.
