Job Description
A vacancy for an SCQM job within the Procurement Operations organization has arisen in the frame of the CBC (Cádiz) transfer project.
The open position is based in Cádiz (CBC plant).
The jobholder will be integrated within the Structural Composites team.
The PIMCC Cádiz team is responsible for the operations of Airbus Cádiz supply chain, focusing on securing the present and future "on time, on quality" deliveries to Airbus of its supply base.
It covers all PO suppliers, airframe workpackages, metallic & non metallic product, hardwares and specified items, used by Cádiz plant in their Assembly activities.
The PIMCC team is a key member of the Materials & Detail Parts (POM) organization within Procurement Operations.
Responsibilities
The team is responsible for managing the industrial performance of a supply base of more than 90 manufacturing sites of flyable and ancillary composites materials, all along the product lifecycle: from supplier selection (call for tender phase), through supplier approval and new product qualification, to series operation and supplier development.
Its main tasks are:
Coordinating the tactical activities and mid-term actions with the relevant stakeholders in the composites commodity Multi-Functional Team (MFT), integrated also by the commodity buyers and Programs, Materials and Processes Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering organizations, and securing its execution in alignment with the agreements taken.
Ensuring the industrial qualification of suppliers and products in line with Airbus requirements.
Managing the contract execution, being responsible for the suppliers' on time, on quality deliveries.
Ensuring constant compliance of suppliers and products to Airbus requirements.
Managing supplier performance, implementing recovery plans when needed to secure deliveries.
Actively planning, supporting and monitoring suppliers development in line with Airbus sourcing strategy.
Jobholder's Activities
Although being part of the Structural Composites team, the job holder's perimeter will be extended to detailed parts, aerostructures and chemicals.
The job holder will be the direct contact for internal customers acting as a link between the CBC team and her/his peer within PO organisation.
She/he will contribute to the improvement of the customer/supplier relationship by establishing regular customer focused communication, gathering feedback and supporting improvement actions.
Supply chain operations management:Support the SCQMs in the different Commodity Sourcing Group (CSG, subdivision of the Composites MFT) for composites, chemicals, detail parts and aerostructures materials:
Manage communication and stakeholder management for E2E topics.
Assess the optimization of the Supply chain from an internal analysis of performance.
Identifying risks of supply through appropriate identification in close cooperation with the SCQM, and avoiding them through implementation of dedicated action plans.
Supporting recovery plans following supply chain bottlenecks or disruptions in order to secure delivery of the products in conformity with contracts.
Participating to transfers of work (ToW) to enable changes of material supplying sites while securing the continuity of the material supply operations.
Participate in logistics improvement and cost reduction initiatives with suppliers and implementing continuous improvement aspects.
Contributing to the suppliers development plan setting longer term development targets and supporting its implementation in coordination with the Supplier Development Team when needed.
Quality management:Analysis of impacting problems detected at the Airbus' supply chain.
Promote best practices and provide proposals concerning quality standard and process improvement.
Verify couple (Manufacturing site - Material) compliance to applicable requirements with all relevant contributors.
Actions follow-up, reporting and escalation in case on deviation to industrial target.
Contribute to deployment of supply Chain and Quality standards, methods and tools (APQP, Airsupply, Skywise...).
Managing suppliers' quality recoveries and following-up of the quality actions plan of the suppliers (8D tool and others).
Managing supplier quality approval & authorization in coordination with Airbus relevant stakeholders.
Supporting new products introductions (NPI) process for enabling the use of new materials in Airbus aircrafts.
Steering and proofing the industrial compliance activities to ensure the maturity of the product before serial phase.
Surveilling the appropriateness of the suppliers' Quality Management System.
Reinforce the transversal activities regarding APQP projects.
After an initial training phase, the jobholder will perform the activities autonomously with the support of the tutor and peers.
Training phase will cover the introduction of each of the processes, organizational introduction, web learning needed to grant access to the tools and overview of the Supply base.
Skills
Engineering or other technical studies.
At least 5 years of working experience, ideally in related field.
Negotiation level in English and Spanish.
Autonomy.
Effective communication.
Good stakeholder management, enjoys working beyond functions and sigla.
Eagerness to learn and to develop yourself professionally.
Transnational mindset, intercultural awareness.
Open to regular travel to suppliers (20%).
