About the role:
We are looking for a Product Manager to join our team in Barcelona. This person will play a critical role as a point of contact between the client, the team, and the business needs in every project.
The Product Manager needs to ensure that all the steps given are on the right track and that the communication between all parts of the team is fluid, transparent, and clear.
The role involves gathering the client's requirements, creating a roadmap for the project, leading the agile-minded course of the project, distributing tasks inside the team, documenting everything related to the project, and delivering the expected results on time.
The Product Manager´s goal is to ensure a project is completed on time and successfully by leading the team and managing the client.
In Hexad, Product Managers must be able to manage up to 2 small teams simultaneously. Each team is responsible for a product (internal or external) and is integrated by Software Developers and UX/UI Designers. PMs are responsible for implementing the right work methodology (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.) to ensure objectives are reached.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather requirements and have constant and fluent communication with the client´s PO (internal and external).
* Effectively align team members and internal and external stakeholders around a shared set of objectives, then break down that vision into a Roadmap and an actionable backlog of user stories (Jira).
* Documentation of the whole process (Confluence).
* Create and follow SCRUM ceremonies with the team: sprint planning, task prioritization, backlog maintenance, retrospective meetings, and any other SCRUM element applicable to the project.
* When needed experiment and validate assumptions before development through surveys, user testing, data analysis, research, and A/B testing.
* Communicate efficiently with the team and solve any doubts from the development team or the design team.
* When needed develop a product vision by engaging with internal stakeholders, customers, and the broader PaaS community, then break that vision down into an actionable backlog of user stories for the development team.
* Work hands-on with the development team to prioritize, plan, and deliver software that meets your requirements.
* When needed focus on delivering a Minimum Viable Product through careful and deliberate prioritization.
* Help innovate and iterate on agile PM processes and share our learnings.
* Actively engage customers and the community of users.
What you bring to the role:
* Bachelor in Software Engineering or Business.
* 3+yearsofproductmanagementorsoftwareengineering experience.
* Skilled at defining and prioritizing product features.
* Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision-making.
* Ability to collaborate well with Software Developers, UX/UI Designers, Product Owners, and clients.
* Previous success working with an agile development team.
* Previous success working on open-source products.
* Strong technical skills, with a background in software development or databases.
* Professional English and Spanish language level.
Nice to have:
* Software or IT background. Product management experience with digital products.
* SCRUM or AGILE certifications.
* Knowledge of coding to understand the development part.
* Knowledge of UX/UI design to understand the design part.
* Experience coordinating workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements.
