Microsoft’s Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) organization is the engine that powers our cloud services. Our data center construction team is dedicated to delivering the highest quality data centers for our cloud services. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our diverse and inclusive team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the high standard and reliability of our product.
The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes within our construction organization. You will work collaboratively with our construction team, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure that our day-to-day execution adheres to our processes and project parameters, meeting the highest standards of performance, functionality, and safety.
In your role, you will report directly to the Regional Construction Lead and work across all projects in the Region to ensure consistency in the QAQC (Quality Assurance and Quality Control) program. You will also collaborate with our center of excellence and central quality organization.
This opportunity will also allow you to work directly with our central quality team and help mature our site quality processes into a comprehensive QAQC program. You will become adept at navigating data and analytics, developing a broad knowledge base on how data centers are built, delivered, and operated.

Responsibilities
Execute Quality Projects:
* Review and approval of General Contractor Project Quality Plans.
* Oversee, train, and counsel project quality staff to ensure consistency in auditing and execution against Microsoft project quality specifications and standards.
Collaboration With Delivery Teams:
* Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment by collaborating closely with construction, commissioning, procurement, design, and operations stakeholders.
* Address quality issues and ensure necessary modifications are made to keep to budget, schedule, and scope for improved project delivery.
Auditing:
* Agree to a quality audit plan in accordance with Microsoft specifications.
* Execute project audits and ensure audit goals are met.
* Consolidate, analyze, and report key audit data regularly to ensure compliance and conformance.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to prevent non-conformance.
Documentation And Reporting:
* Document, aggregate, and report audit results, issues, lessons learned, and recommendations for corrective actions.
* Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing non-conformance and audit outcomes.
Performance Analysis:
* Analyze and evaluate quality metrics of construction projects.
* Provide data-driven insights to support process adherence and conformance.
Compliance And Standards:
* Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to construction and quality.
Support Quality Control Process Iteration:
* Continuously improve quality control procedures and protocols for region-wide change management.
* Identify opportunities for process efficiencies within the audit and quality control workflow.
Training And Support:
* Provide training and support to stakeholders on quality control processes, specifications, and best practices.
Support Software Improvement:
* Identify defects, data inconsistencies, and areas for improvement to ensure consistent quality delivery.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND extensive related experience OR equivalent experience.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications:
* Extensive experience working on data center projects.
* Solid experience in MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) construction.
* Proficient in using Microsoft 360 Suite, BIM, Bluebeam, and construction software tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
* To be based or living in the Zaragoza region.
Background Check Requirements:
* Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
