Job Title: Process Improvement Manager
Amazon's global last-mile operation is constantly evolving, and as a Process Improvement Manager, you'll play a crucial role in streamlining and elevating our processes. You'll work closely with management teams to help us meet various operational goals, touching on topics such as customer service and productivity.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the driver experience and optimize our processes.
* Audit processes for compliance and identify areas for improvement.
* Analyze feedback and use data to drive process improvements at the site.
* Collaborate with station management and other stakeholders to resolve process-related issues.
A Day in the Life:
As a Process Improvement Manager, you'll be at the forefront of improving Amazon's logistics, focusing on enhancing safety, productivity, and quality. Your responsibilities will include conducting observations and audits to identify opportunities for process enhancement, recommending changes, and implementing new processes using project management and stakeholder management skills.
You'll be based at one of our sites and accountable for positively influencing operational efficiency. If needed, you'll conduct analysis at other local or national sites, share best practices and ideas with our EU network, and use data to drive improvements while growing our shipping capabilities.
About the Team:
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver millions of physical products to our customers. Our goal is to provide a seamless delivery experience and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, such as Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.
We have two main aspects to our operations: 'under the roof' associates processing millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams, and 'on the road' people working with Amazon Flex, a network of delivery contractors. Every year, we aim to raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services, overcoming industry-wide logistics challenges, and reducing our carbon footprint with cutting-edge vehicles and technology.
Basic Qualifications:
* A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics, or a technical field.
* Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
* Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
* Experience with supporting tools, such as Minitab, JMP, MS Excel, and MS Access.
