The FP&A Manager leads effective financial planning and analysis processes and uses business acuity to identify risks and opportunities that achieve the organization's short and long-term financial goals.
* Prepares detailed analyses for consolidated reports on revenue, backlog, and authorizations for senior management.
* Uses sophisticated models in support of deep analytics.
* Supports S&OP process and develops key performance measurements and associated analytical tools to explain metrics.
* Business partner with departmental leaders on effective solutions.
* Assesses the budgeting and forecasting process statistically to better inform accuracy and risks.
* Collaborates across the organization to provide analytical and critical thinking on ad hoc projects.
* Ensures consistency and application of budgeting and forecasting processes and policies.
* Makes recommendations on investments based on robust value analysis.
* Provides pricing and commercial strategy support to drive profitable authorization growth.
* Drives system enablement / efficiencies through active management of reporting tools / processes.
* Supports data analytics / Power BI to improve enterprise-wide transparency into results.
This is a remote position that can be held in the US, UK, Bulgaria, Poland, or Spain. Preference is to be in proximity to a PPD / Thermo Fisher office for occasional days on-site.
Education and Experience :
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
* Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years’ experience)
* 1+ year of leadership responsibility
* In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and / or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
* Strong project leadership and consultancy skills with the ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients
* Broad knowledge of accounting / financial principles and best practices with effective analytical and quantitative skills
* Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to understand complex organizational structures and environments
* Proven ability to research and analyze financial statements to investigate and explain variances
* Advanced level of skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
* Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization
* Ability to effectively balance and deliver against competing demands
* Ability to effectively leverage financial systems
* Skilled in financial modeling and valuation analysis
* Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and necessary documentation related to Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act

The US salary range estimated for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 USD. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and / or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
