About the Location:
The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca is perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and backed by panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean and the surrounding landscapes. The hotel was originally opened in 1929 within an expansive private estate and is scheduled to open its doors as a Four Seasons resort in June 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the bar operations to deliver exceptional beverage experiences, maintaining high-quality service and consistent product offerings.
2. Create and execute a selection of innovative cocktails and drink menus that reflect seasonal trends and guest preferences.
3. Manage daily bar inventory, ordering, and stock control to optimize cost efficiency and ensure product availability.
4. Ensure all bar staff adhere to service standards and are well-trained in product knowledge, mixology, and responsible serving practices.
5. Foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests, providing personalized recommendations and addressing guest feedback to enhance their experience.
6. Work closely with the Beverage Manager to implement promotions, events, and sales strategies to boost bar revenue.
7. Monitor bar cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Our Ideal Head Bartender Candidate Will Have:
1. Extensive Mixology Knowledge: Strong understanding of cocktails, spirits, wines, and current beverage trends, with a talent for crafting unique drink recipes.
2. Guest-Centric Focus: Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to create memorable guest experiences and engage with a diverse clientele.
3. Leadership and Teamwork: Proven ability to mentor, motivate, and collaborate with the bar team to maintain high service standards.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication abilities to interact professionally with guests, staff, and management.
5. Financial Awareness: Experience managing bar costs, handling cash transactions accurately, and maximizing profitability through inventory management and cost control.
6. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to quality control, from drink presentation to hygiene standards, ensuring consistency and excellence.
7. Problem-Solving Abilities: Quick thinking and efficient in resolving service challenges and guest concerns.
8. Hospitality Background: Prior experience in a bar or mixology role within a luxury or upscale hospitality setting.
9. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local laws regarding alcohol service and responsible serving practices.
Qualifications:
1. Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a luxury or upscale environment.
2. Languages: Spanish / English
3. Language Proficiency: Fluent
4. Degree: Professional or Technical Certification in Hospitality or Mixology is preferred.
5. Legal Eligibility: Must have the right to work in Spain and fluency in English and Spanish.
