Job Title: Business Development and M&A, Manager

Reports To: Europe, Head of Finance and BD Position
Summary: As Business Development and M&A Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and driving new business opportunities in both project origination, third party services and solutions development promoting strategic partnerships as well as M&A initiatives. This role involves a combination of strategic planning, market analysis, deal sourcing, and execution to enhance the company's position in the energy storage sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development:
• Identification and pursuit of new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to support company growth for different business lines
• Develop and execute strategies to expand market share in both project development and third-party services
• Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders (e.g. Developers, IPPs, EPCs, Utilities, Banks, Investment Funds)
2. M&A Strategy & Execution:
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with potential M&A targets
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and coordinate due diligence for M&A opportunities, including risk assessment and valuations.
• Support negotiations, structuring, and execution of transactions to ensure favourable outcomes for the company.
• Coordinate with internal teams (product, solutions, BD, legal, finance, Sales) and external advisors (legal firms, financial advisors) to support M&A deals.
3. Marketing & Reporting:
• Prepare necessary marketing materials and presentations to promote BD activities
• Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, opportunities funnel, M&A pipeline, and deal progress to executive leadership.
4. Strategic Partnerships & Alliances:
• Foster and manage relationships with key partners and strategic industry stakeholders
• Structure and negotiate commercial agreements, joint ventures, and alliances to enhance business growth and collaboration.
5. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
• Collaborate closely with product development, operations, and legal teams to ensure successful execution of business initiatives.
• Support sales and marketing teams by providing market insights and assisting in the development of business strategies and materials
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, M&A, and/or strategic partnerships within the energy, renewable energy, or technology sectors. Experience in energy storage or power systems is highly desirable.
• Financial analysis skills, including basic experience in financial modeling, valuations, and due diligence.
• Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively across teams.
