What is the job about?
We are seeking a Safety Engineer with a solid electronics background to perform Model-Based Safety Analysis (MBSA) on avionic LRUs (Line Replaceable Units) and other electronic subsystems. While our primary focus is aerospace, we welcome candidates with proven safety analysis experience in any critical industry, including automotive, automation, railway, medical or nuclear sector.
This person should be enthusiastic about exploring and refining Model-Based Safety Analysis methodologies, driving ongoing improvements in avionics safety and certification.
What will you do?
In this hybrid role, you will develop safety models using MATLAB / Simulink and a SysML tool, ensuring compliance with ARP4761 and ARP4754A / B standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Fault Tree Analyses (FTA), and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA). You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to address flight-critical and certification-driven challenges, analyzing electronic boards and modules for safety, reliability and compliance.
What profile are we looking for?
We are seeking a Safety Engineer with a strong electronics background to perform Model-Based Safety Analysis (MBSA) for avionic LRUs (Line Replaceable Units) and other electronic subsystems. The ideal candidate will have:
Mandatory:
* Degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
* Proven experience in safety analysis for safety-critical systems according to established standards (e.g. ARP4754A / B, ARP4761, ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
* Proven hands-on experience using MATLAB / Simulink for modeling.
* Familiarity with requirements management processes and tools.
* Active interest on Model-Based Safety Analysis
Valuable:
* Experience on Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA)
* Experience on SysML modelling.
* Experience in the design of electronic systems
