We’re looking for a curious and customer-centric product data analyst to help us identify and evaluate opportunities that connect, empower and delight our users. You will manage data sources and provide insights and suggestions based on analysis of user behavior trends and themes as part of the product insights team.
Who We Are
Be part of a dynamic, agile team that is innovating the user experience for our product. You'll focus on working with stakeholders to identify research questions (stakeholders include designers, engineers, product managers, program managers, and writers). You'll be responsible for delivering research that answers those questions so stakeholders can make decisions based on data-driven insights.
What You'll Do
1. Report, analyze, and communicate quantitative results from product usage data, user behavior, logs, telemetry, and other data focused on our customers' experience.
2. Work with stakeholders to answer questions within the data and proactively discover insights (trends, anomalies).
3. Work with data instrumentation and path analysis for user behavior analytics in support of product design.
4. Create clear and compelling reports and dashboards, report metrics and KPIs.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders in product management, UX design, and UX research.
6. Educate stakeholders and colleagues on best practices and use of data to make decisions.
7. Follow industry best practices in terms of privacy, security, data management and other business processes.
8. Use data-driven insights and storytelling to inspire the organization to listen, understand and act on customer feedback.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree preferably in a statistics, mathematics, data science, or related fields.
2. Expert knowledge of statistics and machine learning.
3. Proficiency in R or Python.
4. Proficiency in SQL.
5. Familiar with one or some of Oracle Analytics Cloud, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau.
6. Knowledge and comfort working with large data sets.
7. Have tolerance for ambiguity, understanding that some answers may come from a combination of quant and qual data.
8. Strong interest and ability to collaborate with colleagues around the world via email, Slack, Zoom and other remote networking tools.
9. Ability to clearly communicate across all levels of the organization.
10. Experience and success using data to tell a story, including the ability to draw and synthesize insights from the data.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
12. Ability to build dashboards and benchmark metrics.
13. Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
1. Familiar with Open Search.
2. Tableau or similar software.
3. Familiar with one or some of Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Medallia, Pendo or similar software or practices.
4. Help create and add to existing taxonomies to make sense of qualitative data.
5. Natural-language processing experience.
6. Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite's areas of focus on ERP, including, but not limited to, accounting, supply chain, HR, and/or other areas.
