Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef, starting in November 2024 (with experience working in the Caribbean Islands preferably). This is a unique opportunity for an individual who thrives in a hands-on, operational role within a small yet thriving resort environment. The primary focus of this position is to oversee daily restaurant operations, manage a dedicated team of local chefs, and work alongside the Executive Sous Chef.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee Main Restaurant operations and assist on any other culinary service in the other outlets, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
* Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to execute a rotational menu offer and special events.
* Maintain operational budgets, implement cost-control measures, and optimize resource utilization.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
* Bring creativity and innovation to the dining experience.
Qualifications:
* Proven track record in training and developing F&B teams; experience in a hands-on management role is essential.
* Previous experience in a fine-dining environment or boutique resort preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong leadership qualities with a knack for building relationships and creating a positive, fun atmosphere.
* Ability to thrive in a small resort setting, working closely with all levels of staff.
* Excellent communication skills, with a good sense of humor to enhance team morale.
Compensation and Benefits:
* Competitive salary of $2,000 USD net monthly, with average tips of $300-400 monthly.
