Purpose of the Role
As a Business Developer Representative for German Market, you will identify robust sales opportunities, profile prospective customers, discover their needs, and drive new business through various outbound campaigns. You will assist businesses in collaborating, moving fast, and innovating. As the first point of contact for hundreds of businesses, your role is to proactively engage, build enthusiasm, and qualify business needs to propose suitable solutions, sending them on the most appropriate sales path.
This is a target-driven role, where you will work toward individual targets as well as support the growth of the EMEA customer base. Interaction with customers will primarily be throughout bound calls in a phone-based environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Achieve SQO (Sales Qualified Opportunity) quotas on a quarterly basis and maintain daily/weekly activity targets.
2. Manage assigned accounts to identify high-potential prospects.
3. Educate customers on available solutions.
4. Execute daily outbound phone calls and emails (often cold calling), engaging with C-level decision-makers, building rapport, and assessing their needs.
5. Understand prospects' pain points and align business needs with available Cloud solutions (solution-selling).
6. Update and maintain data in Salesforce.com (CRM) including managing leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, and activities.
7. Work toward team and individual goals related to productivity, conversion rates, and pipeline.
8. Diligently document customer interactions and deal details in Salesforce.com to ensure clarity for all stakeholders.
Requirements:
1. BA/BS degree OR equivalent practical experience.
2. EU ID or Spanish Residence card.
3. German C1 level and English C1.
4. 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales, B2B sales, or business development, ideally in IT.
5. Understanding of cloud computing concepts, particularly Google Cloud Platform solutions.
6. Strong business acumen and ability to connect customer needs with relevant solutions.
7. Strong interpersonal skills and high level of professionalism.
8. Comfortable working against quotas in a phone-based environment.
9. General IT skills and proficiency in navigating computer-based roles.
Desirable:
1. 1 year of experience in IT outbound sales prospecting.
2. Experience in cold calling and managing a large portfolio of accounts.
3. Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
4. Ability to identify key decision-makers and stakeholders in business conversations.
5. Goal-oriented, proactive, confident, and tenacious.
6. Understanding of local market and business environment.
