Job Title: Senior Data Analyst - Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager
Summary of the role
The Senior Data Analyst will be proficient in tracking pixel implementation and troubleshooting across various digital marketing platforms, including Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics (GA4). This role requires a strong technical understanding of cross-platform and cross-device tracking, server-side tracking, attribution, and tag management to ensure accurate data collection and reporting. The candidate will also collaborate with internal stakeholders, support client implementations, and maintain documentation and best practices.
Your main responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and manage tracking strategies using Google Tag Manager, including creating custom tags and triggers based on specific user interactions, and extracting and manipulating data from the data layer for accurate tracking.
* Implement and troubleshoot cross-platform and cross-device digital marketing tracking pixels (Floodlight, Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.), and maintain and update pixel documentation, including implementation guides for stakeholders.
* Utilize basic JavaScript for custom script development and troubleshooting, and read and utilize a Data Layer, set up and use triggers, and variables.
* Facilitate client calls and emails to guide implementation on third-party providers, and address tracking setup questions from internal stakeholders, interacting with Product and Tech teams as needed.
* Analyze and identify data and reports to troubleshoot issues, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.
About the Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
* Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
* Proven relevant experience in tracking and web analytics, with strong expertise in Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4.
* Solid understanding of web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs, and familiarity with data visualization tools (such as Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI) and tools like Developer Tool, Tag Assistant, and Facebook Pixel Helper.
* Basic understanding of Google Marketing Platforms and any other advertising platforms.
* Understanding of omni-channel user behavior, conversion data, customer journeys, funnel analysis, multi-channel attribution, and advanced attribution models and marketing mix modelling.
* Knowledge of Consent Management Platforms and data flows, with the ability to translate technical concepts into understandable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and clients, along with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
