Field AI is transforming how robots interact with the real world. We are building risk-aware, reliable, and field-ready AI systems that address the most complex challenges in robotics, unlocking the full potential of embodied intelligence. We go beyond typical data-driven approaches or pure transformer-based architectures, and are charting a new course, with already-globally-deployed solutions delivering real-world results and rapidly improving models through real-field applications.
We are operating robots in the most complex and challenging environments possible including construction. Within this position you will work closely with AI, product, and commercial teams to build products that leverage robotically captured data on construction projects around the world to deliver actionable insights to customers.
This remote role is for a developer that wants to work at the intersection of embodied AI and delivering a product that has a meaningful impact on some of the most exciting projects under construction around the world today.
What You Will Get To Do
* Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications with a focus on scalability and performance.
* Write clean, maintainable code in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and Python.
* Architect and implement solutions for complex problems involving data modeling, UI/UX design, and infrastructure, adhering to design patterns and clean architecture principles.
* Develop backend services using Express.js and related Node.js frameworks.
* Build and maintain interactive and dynamic frontends using React and modern web development practices.
* Implement complex 3D graphics features using libraries like Three.js.
* Design and manage efficient data storage solutions with MongoDB and Redis.
* Build and maintain messaging systems with SQS and event-driven architectures using EventBridge.
* Setup and maintain AWS Elastic Beanstalk web APIs.
* Containerize and deploy applications using Docker.
* Maintain secured apps using authentication workflows with AWS Cognito and manage role-based resource permissions.
* Automate CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild.
* Configure DNS routing and domain management via AWS Route53.
* Organize, manage, and scale codebases using monorepo architectures with tools like Lerna and NX.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and effective user experiences.
* Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, resolve bugs, and optimize graphics rendering pipelines.
* Improve internal processes to reduce human intervention as much as possible.
What You Have
* Strong Frontend and Backend experience in similar roles (5+ years).
* Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js (with Express.js), and React.
* Experience with Three.js, WebGL, shaders, or other 3D graphics programming technologies.
* Proficiency in designing solutions for complex problems involving data modeling, UI/UX, and infrastructure, using design patterns and clean architecture principles.
* Strong understanding of messaging systems (e.g., SQS) and event-driven architectures (EventBridge).
* Hands-on experience with Docker and AWS services (e.g., Cognito, Elastic Beanstalk, CodePipeline, Route53). Note experience with similar products from other cloud providers would work too.
* Expertise with database systems like MongoDB and Redis.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Understanding of micro-services application design.
What Will Set You Apart
* Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows and tools.
* Experience managing and scaling monorepo codebases with tools like Lerna or NX.
* Experience working with Autodesk platforms (e.g., Revit, Forge API *APS).
* Proficiency with AWS SDK.
* Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
