Optimize management of contractors at a global level, ensuring that these suppliers not only meet quality and efficiency standards but are also fully aligned with the company's vision and values.
Contractors represent Applus+ in client interactions, making it essential that they understand and work in alignment with the company’s operational and business objectives. This role is critical in ensuring a consistent and reliable client experience, backed by standardized suppliers, processes, and a transparent cost model. Leads the global strategy for purchasing and managing contractors, focusing on standardizing methodologies, processes, and cost models.
This position is essential in establishing a global structure of reliable providers who represent Applus+ effectively to clients. Role requires close collaboration with operations, quality, finance, and regional leaders to implement global processes and ensure excellence in client service. Contribute to develop Make or Buy process and TCO decisions. To manage relationships with various stakeholders across divisions while integrating business needs and proposing competitive value-added solutions
Responsibilities:
Development and Standardization of Global Methodology and Processes
* Define, implement, and standardize methodologies and processes for managing contractors, ensuring consistent quality of service.
* Create and maintain transparent and competitive cost models and pricing structures, facilitating comparisons and resource optimization.
* Establish processes for cataloging providers and services, enabling an agile selection aligned with Applus+ standards.
Strategic Category Management and Contractor Selection
* Develop a category strategy to optimize contractor performance, identifying and classifying providers who guarantee high-level service.
* Conduct ongoing analysis of the contractor and supplier market, anticipating trends and potential areas for improvement.
* Lead RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFI (Request for Information) processes, evaluating providers based on quality, cost, and alignment with Applus+ values.
Alignment and Stakeholder Relationship Management (Internal and External)
* Ensure continuous collaboration with internal stakeholders (operations, quality, finance, and compliance) to align category objectives with company goals.
* Maintain active and transparent communication with contractors, reinforcing alignment with service standards and client experience expectations.
* Conduct regular reviews with key stakeholders to optimize agreements and adapt them to evolving business needs.
Contract Implementation and Compliance Monitoring
* Design, negotiate, and implement robust contracts that ensure compliance with Applus+ standards and consistency in service delivery.
* Monitor contractors’ compliance through regular audits, evaluating their performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Implement a process of continuous improvement to adjust and update contractual terms as business needs and regulatory requirements evolve.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Work closely with engineering, finance, operations, and project management teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budget constraints.
* Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on procurement activities, category strategies, and market developments.
Cost Optimization and Strategic Financial Analysis
* Apply detailed, structured financial analysis to optimize costs, reducing operational expenses without compromising service quality.
* Assess and monitor costs related to the contractor category, identifying savings opportunities through provider consolidation and rate optimization.
* Regularly develop and update performance financial reports to facilitate strategic decision-making by senior management.
Continuous Improvement:
* Implement best practices in procurement processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of the procurement function.
* Keep abreast of industry best practices and innovations in Contractors management.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related fields;
a postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA is preferred.
* Specialized in Procurement in Services, engineering international environment, facility management experience, SAP ARIBA experience.
* Excellent spoken and written English (C1)
