Position: Europe & SAM Senior Medium Voltage Electrical Engineer (SMVEE)
The SMVEE is responsible for:
1. Developing design proposals, specifications, product selection, drawings, calculations, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost implications, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
2. Providing design solutions to meet the customer and site requirements, and ensuring the customer's best interests are protected during the project.
3. Facilitating meetings and interviews with customers and sub-consultants.
4. Handling different types of projects, tendering support, customer execution projects, R&D projects, quality support, and services support.
What will you do?
Tender Phase:
1. Participate in the programming of the project with the customer or customer representative to understand and document the owner's project requirements.
2. Understand the codes and ordinances local to the opportunity/project.
Solutions Development:
1. Provide appropriate design documents to support the proposal and allow the estimating team to assemble cost for the proposal.
Design Phase:
1. Perform code analysis for the project.
2. Take the lead for the basis of design for the project, including redundancy requirements, detailed design, detailed calculations, validate product selection, etc.
Construction Phase:
1. Provide support and response to requests for information and factories support.
2. Validate internal and external factories & subcontractors design.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
1. Travel to customer sites experiencing issues to support the technical resolution.
2. Participate in Offer Safety related meetings.
3. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
