As part of Forvis Mazars ’ strategic move to create a centralized service to serve clients across Europe, we have created a Global Compliance & Reporting service with teams, processes, and technology that allows multinational groups to meet all their accounting, tax, payroll, and legal obligations and commitments, both locally and internationally while having accurate information centralized and delivered from our Center of Excellence (CoE) .
We are hiring an Accounting Manager to join this strongly growing team in Barcelona.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a strategic project at Forvis Mazars and to work in an English-speaking and truly international environment with a high number of countries across Europe.
Your mission :
* Month-end closing coordination and review of the key activities and reporting
Monthly activities:
* Supervision of the team's monthly tasks across various processes (banks, treasury, accounts payable, etc.).
* Follow-up on the team's planning, resource allocation, and time tracking.
* Management of client requests and prioritization.
* Ensure and control the productivity of the team as well as the profitability of the project
* Ensure all deliverables are sent on time and manner to the client and corresponding stakeholders.
* Follow-up and planning of team’s activities to ensure effective delivery
* Training and support to all professionals in their team
* Organize and manage time and resources to answer client’s demand
* Monitoring of the project's key KPIs
Your profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* Additional training and knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and Taxation are a plus.
* Minimum of 8 years of work experience in a multinational environment.
* Experience in Big4 or similar firms is an asset.
* Team management experience.
* Reporting knowledge (deadlines, task management, etc.).
* High proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Navision, or similar) and Excel.
* Strong oral and written communication skills in English (B2 level or higher).
* Oral and written communication skills in French are a plus.
* Interest and ability to multitask in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Ability to prioritize workload and meet strict reporting deadlines.
