A leading multinational company in the games and toys sector is looking for a Senior Group Brand Manager for its headquarters in Barcelona (Spain) or Zaandam (Netherlands). Reporting to the Group Brand Director, this role will oversee brand plans, portfolio, and product management within the Group. You will manage a team of brand managers and be responsible for multiple brands across various markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of group brand managers.
2. Market and Consumer Insights: Gain a full understanding of the market and consumer preferences.
3. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term (3-year) and short-term (1-year) brand and product strategies.
4. Sales Performance: Proactively manage and monitor sales performance, adjusting as needed.
5. Collaboration: Work with trade marketing, product development, innovation, and local marketing and sales teams.
6. Product and Quality Improvement: Continuously initiate improvements in product quality and diversification of product assortment.
7. Briefings: Prepare and coordinate briefings for product development, packaging artwork, user manuals, and brand-related content.
8. Training: Conduct product training sessions.
9. Research: Support and brief qualitative and quantitative research initiatives for brands and products.
Collaborate internally with Central, Group, and Local Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Innovation. Externally with licensed partners, distribution partners, copywriters, and agencies.
Requirements:
1. Skills: Leadership, Communication, Team player, Decision making and problem solving, Consumer focus, Creativity, and Prioritization.
2. Education: University degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
3. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, previous team management experience, strong project management skills, and experience managing multiple projects with deadlines. Affinity with the Group products; knowledge of the toy market is preferred. Fluent in English is mandatory.
