Junior Group Leader in B Cell Biology and Host-Microbiota Interaction
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to lead a public-private collaborative project at the Immunology Unit, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences-Campus Clinic, University of Barcelona.
About the Position
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge translational research and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across academia and industry to advance the development of engineered cytokine-based therapies for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Key Responsibilities
* Design and conduct in vitro functional assays using primary cells from IBD patients
* Apply novel systems immunology approaches to identify predictive biomarkers of response to treatment
Requirements
* Ph.D. in immunology or a closely related field, completed within the last 10 years
* Proven expertise in in vitro functional immunological assays with primary immune cells, protein analytics, and multiparametric flow cytometry
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Confident, execution-focused, and team-oriented
* Proficiency in English
* Knowledge of R and/or other programming languages
* Prior experience in human immunology or research related to IBD
* Experience with single cell RNA sequencing analysis
* Relevant scientific publications in related fields
* Experience with project management and scientific writing
