About BSC: The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is a founding member of the European HPC infrastructure PRACE. The mission of BSC is to research, develop, and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress.
Context And Mission: Both the INB Technical Coordination Hub and the INB Computational Node participate and lead various local, national, and international projects related to research data and software management.
Key Duties:
* Landscape the current developments around secure processing environments across domains in Europe considering existing and upcoming regulations.
* Analyze the current Virtual Research Environment features to extend and develop new ones to support trustworthy data analytics.
* Evaluate current trusted communication channels among relevant data repositories and design strategies for data sharing.
Requirements:
* Education: BA or MS degree in data-driven fields or computer science engineering, or highly vocational Education (FPII).
* Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in cloud computing, data management APIs, and database design.
* Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience: Experience in clinical data management, authentication/authorization protocols, and technical project management.
* Competences: Ability to understand scientific literature, communicate scientific results, and work independently or in a team.
Conditions: The position will be located at BSC within the Life Sciences Department. We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, and a highly stimulating atmosphere.
