Job Summary
This role involves liaising with current and future suppliers to validate new parts or suppliers against production and customer requirements as well as quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate and validate new suppliers for inclusion on BOLD's supplier panel.
* Analyze and evaluate special customer-relevant quality requirements.
* Provide input and collaborate with suppliers during the RFI and RFQ stages of the acquisition phase.
* Analyze and implement requirements for purchased parts in new developments and technical changes.
* Manage supplier PPAP and purchased part-related APQP.
* Perform Supplier Quality Management from the acquisition phase to SOP and during production.
* Conduct Supplier audits and assist engineering and procurement teams from a quality perspective.
* Validate product and process for new components at supplier sites.
* Initiate and follow through on any supplier NCR.
* Travel up to 60% to suppliers (mainly in Spain).
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electric, Electronic, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent professional work experience.
* Experience with Automotive and/or Aerospace standards at production level with IATF16949, AS9100 certification.
* Deep knowledge and experience in using core tools (problem solving, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, etc.).
* Driver's license and own vehicle.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Expertise in electric and/or electronic components.
* Experience with battery packs.
* Understanding of testing requirements and validating battery products at a high level.
* Auditor VDA 6.3.
