Sustainable Fitch is currently seeking Associate Analysts based in our Barcelona office.
Part of Fitch Group, Sustainable Fitch is focused on research and analysis of ESG themes for companies and their debt instruments across the globe. The products offered by Sustainable Fitch include ESG Scores, ESG Ratings and ESG Research, with the support of Product Development and Resource teams. It has offices in Barcelona, Hong Kong, London, New York, Singapore and Toronto.

We’ll Count on You To:
* Carry out and deliver high-quality, timely, focused analysis on a suite of products related to the ESG characteristics and performance of entities and debt issuances.
* Work alongside peers in a team and be assigned a varied portfolio of companies and associated debt instruments to analyze and monitor.
* Present and discuss internally findings and related outputs.
* Keep up to date with ESG trends globally, both regulatory and sector specific.
* Understand and apply Sustainable Fitch’s ESG analytical methodologies and become familiar with the company’s approach to assessing the sustainability impact associated with a broad range of business activities.
What You Need to Have:
* Be a September 2024 – September 2025 graduate in a discipline with a background suitable to carry out sustainability-related work (such as Environmental Sciences, Healthcare, Biology, Engineering, Economics, among others).
* Be highly motivated and passionate to be trained on our proprietary rating and scoring methodology and then to deliver quality research and analytical products to our clients.
* Interest, knowledge and understanding of current ESG market themes and standards.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with good attention to detail and comfortable working with and drawing conclusions from data.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access).
* Fluency in English (written and spoken). In-depth knowledge of any additional languages will be beneficial.
* Ability to start September 2025 in Barcelona (hybrid office schedule).
* Candidates must possess full rights to work in Spain.

* Intellectually curious with a keen interest in credit, fixed income and industry analysis, with an understanding of financial statements.
* Strong, clear, and concise communication skills, both verbally and written.
