We are the global product security and privacy competence center of Roche Diagnostics worldwide. The solutions security architecture team is focused on:
1. Enabling the product development teams to deliver secure and privacy by design products by coaching and providing the required architecture building blocks, patterns, modules, tools, and processes.
2. Ensuring the overall security and data protection across the products landscape.
Who We Seek
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced informatics leader to support product development teams, regulatory, corporate IT, architecture office, and security officers in establishing the secure product development value chain for healthcare devices (IoT / Edge) and services in the cloud.
The Solution Security Architect performs the technical leadership, facilitation, analysis, design, and prototyping tasks required to ensure the end-to-end security and privacy by design of Roche’s products.
You are the trusted advisor of the Product Lifecycle Teams and R&D Engineering leadership.
Major responsibilities
1. Define the security viewpoints of the target solution architecture and implementation roadmaps of Roche’s product portfolio (Cloud, Edge, and Fog).
2. Design, prototype, and implement technical controls, security patterns, concepts, and building blocks considering regulatory and legal requirements to achieve full compliance.
3. Specify security requirements and technology standards for Roche Diagnostics’ products.
4. Coach Software Architects and Product Security Champions in security and privacy by design.
Who You Are

Mandatory:
1. 3+ years of related professional work experience as an architect of commercial cloud solutions; skills in mobile applications are an advantage.
2. 3+ years of related work experience in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
3. Demonstrated experience with identity-based and network-based access controls, key management service, and encryption of data at rest and in-transit for cloud and mobile applications.
Furthermore, you bring:
1. BA / BS in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or relevant area of study, required.
2. Skilled in managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships in a complex organization.
3. Excellent people, leadership, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to inspire and influence lifecycle leaders, lead architects, and senior leadership.
4. Working knowledge of information security controls, guidelines, and standards (ISO27000 series, OWASP, CSA CCM, CIS 20 Critical Security Controls, SOC 2, and NIST).
5. Extended knowledge of cloud services and secure configuration patterns are desired.
6. Ability to take ownership and be effective with limited supervision.
7. Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
8. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
