What you’ll be doing :
Gelato is seeking an extraordinary leader as Head of Quality to build and lead a team of Quality and Prepress Managers. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, product, and operations to secure compliance and quality standards of our custom products that are locally produced through a network of hundreds of production partners globally. Main responsibilities include:
* Create and support the overall vision, strategy, and execution plan for quality and drive regulatory compliance of sourcing and production of custom products.
* Identify and hire a world-class team and be able to drive them to success.
* Establish quality and reliability standards by studying product, production, and consumer requirements through internal cross-functional collaboration.
* Create a product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
* Head and monitor quality activities to ensure the custom products and our production partners comply with quality standards.
* Focus quality initiatives on a proactive rather than reactive structure.
* Review and resolve quality control problems/concerns through cross-departmental leadership and through interaction with vendors, customers, and production partners.
* Create an environment of continuous improvement and implement scalable systems to support quality excellence.
* Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
* Provide support to the Legal Team adhering to regulatory and legal custom product requirements. Prepare reports and other documentation required by regulatory agencies and to support the quality function.

You are able to articulate complex concepts and are not afraid to challenge the status quo. No task is too small, but you can also see the bigger picture and help lead our operations support to evolve and scale. You lead by example and you love understanding data and identifying process improvements to benefit our partners and customers. In addition, we would like to see the following in your profile:
* Print industry qualifications would be beneficial, such as Fogra certified or Idealliance G expert. As well as six sigma or lean qualifications.
* Experience working at leadership level building and managing multi-dimensional, global teams.
* Track record of success in building teams from the ground up.
* Willingness to roll up your sleeves and fix problems in a hands-on manner when needed.
* Intellectual curiosity.
* Thrives in a high growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment.
* MBA or Masters Degree in applicable field.
