About the position
Within a rapidly growing group, in a sector of activity with an environmental mission that encourages talent, Energy Pool is recruiting a local, permanent contract for a Chief Development Officer to ensure the development of the company in Spain.
Your objectives will be to develop activities both in scale and profitability with a team that you will recruit and manage. You will request the necessary assistance from Energy Pool support teams.
In a first phase, with the active support of the International Development team located in Savoie (France), the Chief Development Officer will mainly and simultaneously:
1. Develop a portfolio of prospects/customers based on Energy Pool’s existing offers in Europe.
2. Define new Energy Management offers adapted to the Spanish market.
3. Monitor regulatory developments relating to access to the demand-side flexibility market by independent aggregators such as Energy Pool.
4. Favor Energy Pool by lobbying the regulator CNMC (Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia) and the transmission operator REE independently and/or in coordination with local trade associations.
5. Explore local strategic partnerships to accelerate development.
As the CDO Spain develops, he or she may take on Spain Country Manager responsibilities and develop a local operational team through the legal existing entity.
The indispensable:
1. You come from an engineering or business school with a strong appetite for technical/complex and commercial subjects.
2. You have a significant financial culture.
3. You have at least 10 years of experience in a management role within a fast-growing SME/ETI.
4. You are bilingual in Spanish, with a professional level of English and French (C1).
And ideally:
1. You have experience in the energy sector and the decarbonization of processes.
2. You know the major energy players as well as the stakeholders (political, regulatory, etc.).
Mobility: Travel will be frequent.
