Job Title: Manager, Sanctions Control & Ownership, Risk & Compliance Research
About the Role
Dow Jones Risk & Compliance is a global provider of third-party risk management and regulatory compliance solutions. We deliver data, research tools and services to help our clients meet anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, anti-corruption and economic sanctions regulations and mitigate third-party risk.
You will lead and develop a team of multilingual experts who research, record and update details on entities owned by sanctioned subjects or state-owned entities from specific countries for the Sanctions Control & Ownership (SCO) content set within Dow Jones Risk & Compliance. You will report to the Director, Companies Ownership. You will be based in Barcelona.
You Will:
1. Train, support and develop your team to maximize their potential through motivation, coaching, counseling, and delegation
2. Organise and assign tasks to your team, allocating resources appropriately and identifying workflow efficiencies
3. Monitor and evaluate your team's performance
4. Respond to clients' questions about Sanctions Control & Ownership (SCO) content
5. Monitor and analyse information related to sanctions programmes
6. Write due diligence reports on companies and/or individuals as required and contribute to other projects
7. Collaborate and engage with other departments and support the Director to drive key business initiatives and decisions
8. Contribute to data and workflow improvements, and tool efficiencies
You Have:
9. Fluency in English, Russian and Ukrainian
10. Understanding of sanctions regulations
11. Experience as a professional researcher or analyst
12. Proofreading skills and experience in handling large volumes of information
13. Experience managing a team or leading a project
14. Experience explaining data or processes and handling complex clients' queries
15. Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
16. Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and coaching skills
17. An openness to different views and appreciation of team diversity
Preferred:
18. Fluency in additional languages
19. Knowledge of and interest in current affairs, anti-money laundering regulations and the workings of the global Sanctions landscape
20. Automation skills, such as advanced knowledge of Excel, Macros/VBA programming, Python, HTML and/or SQL
21. Education to a degree level or relevant experience
