We are currently looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our International Financial Lines & Cyber Underwriting Teams in Barcelona, Spain.
Position Overview
The Underwriting Assistant will provide a high level of administrative and business support to the International Financial Lines & Cyber Underwriting Teams, interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions
* Support the Underwriters in the delivery of an effective and efficient administration service
* Ensure new submission data is accurately entered in the rating tool and upload all relevant risk documentation and correspondence to Document Management System in a timely manner
* Assist Underwriters in monitoring the Renewal book
* Enter bound submissions in the Policy Management System
* Liaise with Operations Team to bind policies in the Policy Management System
* Assist in the execution of guidelines, proofreading, formatting of wordings, maintain stocks and order marketing material
* Assist in the production of accurate management information for senior management team and underwriters
* Assist underwriters in the preparation of marketing events, meetings and road shows
* Travel booking
* Interact with other teams within ANV: Finance, Operations, Compliance, M&A, and Management
* Provide back up for the Underwriting Assistants team
* Provide a professional service to brokers in person, email and telephone
* New producer requirements, request relevant information, adhere to the New Producer On Boarding Process
* Manage broker contact lists and other CRM tasks
* Prepare and execute mass broker communications
* Other duties may be assigned in order to meet the ongoing needs of the organisation
Qualifications, Experience, Competence
Essential Skills required:
* Significant administrative assistant experience
* Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
* Native / fluent English – Spanish and any additional languages a plus
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Motivated, team player who can also work autonomously
* Accurate with high numeracy skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage high volume data entry
* Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
Desirable skills:
* Insurance experience advantageous
* Ability to work with macros in Excel
