Your role
You will collaborate with internal Zurich Commercial, UW teams and external IT suppliers to design cloud technical solutions. Your main responsibilities will be to assist in the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of integration systems and architectures for the team.
As a Data Engineer, your main responsibilities will involve:
* Support Commercial Insurance Integration initiatives that improve current Integration architecture & service.
* Design cloud-based solutions adapted to our customer requirements.
* Utilizing engineering software and tools for the design and analysis of complex systems.
* Developing and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure SQL.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless initiative execution and meet customer requirements.
* Acting as a technical point of contact for customers, addressing their concerns and providing technical guidance and support.
* Troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
Your Skills and Experience
As a Data Engineering Analyst, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
* University degree in IT and/or Business or equivalent experience.
* 4-5 years’ experience in Cloud Architecture, including AWS microservices and Databricks.
* Ability to work independently.
Knowledge And Technical Skills
* Strong Knowledge of available Cloud platforms & capabilities.
* Understanding of serverless architecture and alternatives.
* Knowledge of conceptual, logical and physical database designs.
* Strong expertise in programming languages including R, Scala, Python, and SQL.
* Comprehensive understanding and experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks, and Azure DevOps.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
* Analytical thinking abilities to identify and resolve technical issues.
* Proactivity and a forward-thinking mindset to actively seek solutions.
* Responsibility and reliability in meeting commitments and fulfilling duties.
* English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

* Strong English (written and spoken).

* Good business knowledge.
