We are looking for a Product Engineer for RFID, as part of the global Engineering team, located in Terrassa (Barcelona).
The RFID label Product Engineer focuses on RFID labels for general merchandise across Europe and the USA. Cooperating with the global product manager, the Product Engineer will follow and implement product marketing strategies in the region, support the sales team to recognize customer requirements, and recommend suitable RFID labels to increase market share and enhance growth of RFID labels for general merchandise.
Core Objectives and Responsibilities
1. Recognize customer requirements and recommend suitable RFID labels.
2. Familiar with RFID industry standards, encoding schemes, especially for UHF and HF frequency.
3. Cooperate with the Global Product Manager to develop and implement effective product line and marketing strategies and product development roadmaps to increase market share and grow into new markets.
4. Maintain an active focus and interface with market "drivers" (technologies and end user needs), staying on top of trends that will result in a continuous proactive market-driven approach.
5. Take care of the healthiness of the assigned product line (i.e., SKU rationalization/obsolescence, price positioning and profit analysis, SKU system maintenance, and inventory turn metrics).
6. Lead the project development process and develop strong team relationships with the cross-functional new product development team.
7. Manage related beta site/prototype product development programs, including effectively communicating product features and benefits to the target audience.
8. Manage the maintenance of the competitive intelligence database and complete related market and competition analysis reports as required.
9. In conjunction with the Marketing team, develop and implement product launch activities, including product positioning, marketing materials, pricing, packaging, launch budgets, website content, application notes, etc.
Education & Experience
1. Engineering Degree.
2. 5+ years of business experience with 2+ years of Product Engineer experience in MNC, preferably in the RFID label, electronic accessory, or electronic article surveillance related industry.
3. 3+ years of RFID related working experience.
4. Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.

2. Experience in developing marketing/business strategies, plans, and programs with specific experience in product development, project management, business case development, and cross-functional interactions.
3. Well-developed strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with an ability to analyze complex concepts and draw implications.
4. Excellent communication skills that facilitate working with a variety of teams throughout the product lifecycle.
5. Demonstrated success in translating customer requirements into new product offerings.
6. A proactive work style that takes initiative to improve products, proactively communicates with teams, follows up on issues, and brings deliverables to completion.
7. Excellent prioritization, organization, and time management skills.
8. Demonstrated success in defining and launching commercially successful products.
9. Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
10. Travel as required to meet with customers, demonstrate products, set up beta sites, work at trade shows/conferences, and stay in tune with the market (~15%).
