The Opportunity
Provide, under the supervision of the Digital & Data Privacy Legal Director and in close cooperation with other Legal Counsels, legal support to its business partners, protecting and enforcing key rights, facilitating business transactions, providing continued preventative legal advice and defending Puig’s interests in order to mitigate legal risks.
Implement the policies and procedures defined within the Corporate Legal Services and support the definition of said policies and procedures.
What you'll get to do
1. Drafting, updating, review, negotiation and termination of IT/Digital related Contracts (e.g. Consultancy, Development and Maintenance Services, Software License Agreements, Payment Platforms Agreements, AI Tools, etc.) protecting and enforcing key rights and mitigating legal risks.
2. Manage the preparation, update and review (sometimes in coordination with external lawyers and other teams) of E-commerce Legal Notices (T&Cs of Use, T&Cs of Sale, Privacy and Cookies Policies) ensuring compliance with the applicable regulations and requirements.
3. Provide, under the supervision of the Digital & Data Privacy Legal Director, legal advice to the different business partners in consumer law, digital, social media and e-commerce matters ensuring compliance with the applicable regulations and requirements.
4. Develop a close partnership with its business partners, devoting time to understand their challenges and to educate them on legal implications and seeking an ongoing exchange of information with them.
5. Assist the Digital Legal Director in specific projects and with other legal matters as necessary.
We'd love to meet you if you have
1. Experience: Minimum experience of 6 years in IT & Digital matters (carrying out the type of tasks described in Functions and Responsibilities), preferably some of them in large law firm. Experience as an in-house lawyer will be a plus.
2. Education: Law degree. Specific subsequent education will be a plus (in particular, in Tech & Digital and Consumer matters).
3. Languages: Proficiency in both Spanish and English professional use. French will be a plus.
4. Specific Knowledge required: Required knowledge/experience in carrying out the type of tasks described in Functions and Responsibilities.
5. Competencies: Flexible. Rigorous but resolutive (can-do-attitude). Business oriented, with initiative. Problem-solving and pragmatism. Ability to work both independently and as strong team player.
