Global Category Manager - Media and AdvocacyThe Global Category Manager for Media and Advocacy will be responsible for developing and executing global strategies for media buying, advocacy campaigns, and related services within the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and beauty industries. This role will ensure the alignment of media and advocacy efforts with the company's overall objectives, driving efficiency, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.Key Responsibilities:Strategy Development: Create and implement global category strategies for media buying and advocacy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements specific to the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and beauty industries.Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers and agencies to ensure high-quality service and competitive pricing.Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape, with a focus on pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and beauty media and advocacy.Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for media and advocacy campaigns, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of media and advocacy initiatives.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, communications, legal, and regulatory teams, to ensure cohesive and compliant campaigns.Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts with media and advocacy service providers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.Innovation: Drive innovation in media and advocacy strategies, leveraging new technologies and approaches to enhance campaign effectiveness.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in media buying, advocacy, or related fields, with a proven track record of managing global campaigns within the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and beauty industries.Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to inform strategic decisions.Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as media planning platforms and analytics tools.Preferred Skills:Experience in digital media and social media advocacy.Knowledge of global media markets and regulatory environments specific to pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and beauty.Familiarity with sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
