As a Digital Product Designer within the digital e-commerce team at our airline client, you will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining a cohesive and scalable design across our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including researchers, copywriters, product managers, engineers, and other designers, to ensure consistency and efficiency in our designs, aligning them with our brand and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Systems: Implementation of our design systems, tools, and workflows to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our design process.
2. Design Libraries: Create and maintain a set of design libraries including design tokens, components, content guides, and design patterns.
3. Design Documentation: Develop and maintain design documentation, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and alignment across design teams and digital products.
4. Optimize Processes: Optimize and standardize design processes, including file management, version control, and collaboration.
5. Mentor Designers: Mentor and guide other designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in areas such as persona development, targeting strategies, and advanced data analysis.
6. Design Solutions: Develop wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that vividly visualize and communicate design concepts and interactions to stakeholders, facilitating clear understanding and alignment.
7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints, translating them into effective design solutions.
8. Cross-Platform Experience: Craft cohesive, responsive design solutions that seamlessly span web-based and mobile applications, guaranteeing a consistent and user-friendly experience.
9. Stay Informed and Innovate: Stay abreast of the latest design trends, tools, and technologies. Proactively recommend their integration into our design processes to foster innovation and maintain relevance.
10. Collaborate with Digital UX Writers: Work alongside and align with Copywriters, taking into account their vision and providing feedback when necessary.
11. Product Testing: Conduct product testing (usability & comprehension tests), document and keep up-to-date digital product user experiences, and consider all different scenarios for which the digital product is designed (type of customer, customer limitations, operative limitations, etc.).
12. Continuous Improvement: Always look to improve the digital experience of the digital product and workflow with collaboration parties, staying up-to-date with best UX and UI practices, competitors, and e-commerce practices.
13. Customer Feedback: Be up-to-date and understand customer feedback.
