This is a role that is part of a team of very experienced architects in an organization that is executing a lot of projects that involves RPA’s. The RPA team also has a lot of contact with other parts of the IT organization, and with the Coty business. Given the variety and complexity of the work that the team and the larger organization handles, and the variety of contacts, the job offers therefore a variety of different opportunities for growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Corporate Systems Architecting Manager, you are responsible for the management of several corporate systems. The most important system is our RPA (Robotic Process Automation) platform UiPath that needs to be managed architecturally. For other systems that the Mgr. CS is responsible the focus is on the management of the support staff, to function as an escalation point. The support staff knows in general how to handle the different issues or reach out to the vendor to get the required support. The systems involved here include the T&E system, the travel booking system, some Visual Basic custom applications, and several other systems used in the Sanford factory mostly under vendor support.
Besides operational support the Mgr. CS will also be responsible for the processing and implementation of enhancements and change requests for the RPA domain.
Your main focus: Overview the design and deployment of application components that are standards based, high performance, highly available, low maintenance, and comply with operational standards and procedures. Provide leadership and demonstrate ownership of the RPA platform for consistent usage across projects. Understand the business and customer needs to introduce technical solutions that enlarge the capabilities of the RPA platform. Understand the capabilities of the Coty middleware platform so that solutions can be designed that use the strengths of both platforms in cooperation. Review all Functional Designs for RPA processes to ensure they contain clear instructions for developers, adhere to the Coty RPA standards, and are easy to support and maintain. Review the testing and regression testing of RPAs to make sure that the changed RPA’s are defect free, have adequate performance and reliability. Enhance RPA governance based on best practices and ensure proper alignment with business and major initiatives. Understand and contribute to Enterprise IT strategies; adhere to compliance regulations and development guidelines. Keep the different systems up to date and fully supported and investigate if new RPA capabilities can be useful for Coty deployment. Manage special technology projects and initiatives as assigned. Continuous improvement of existing development, testing, and documentation standards and best practices.

The function is part of the IT department in Coty, which is a global organization handling IT for the entire Coty organization. This role will be part of the Middleware & Business-Related Architecture CoE (in short the Middleware CoE), that is responsible for Middleware, RPA, collaboration, Java applications, and some other custom applications. The Middleware CoE resides in the Global Architecture & Engineering Center of Excellence in Coty IT. The Mgr. CS position is in Granollers which is for Coty a major hub of the Application Center of Expertise.
YOU ARE A COTY FIT
You are customer oriented. As an experienced Corporate Systems Architecting Manager, you have a generic understanding of several organizational processes and you get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:
1. University level degree on bachelor level or beyond, or a similar work experience.
2. 5+ years’ experience designing and developing RPA’s.
3. 3+ years of experience in interfacing with SAP.
4. Knowledge of MS-SQL databases.
5. Knowledge of XML Technologies, JSON and REST technologies.
6. Some experience with administration of Windows servers.
7. Experience with designing RPA’s using UiPath, or similar RPA platforms.
8. Ability to plan technical architecture and develop documentation.
9. Solid knowledge of testing.
10. Experience with RPA development life cycles.
11. Demonstrated experience working with technical and non-technical staff.
12. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
13. Outstanding collaboration and team building skills.
14. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
15. Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks under tight deadlines.
16. Experience with Visual Basic.
17. Master the English language on a near native level.
