The Role
The SEO Specialist will join our Product/IT team and will report directly to our SEO Product Manager. They will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to improve organic search rankings, increase Samboat’s traffic and drive conversions. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the main pillars of the SEO strategy: technical, content, on-page and off-page. We’re a data-driven company, so it’s critical that you possess strong analytical skills to measure and track SEO performance.
Your Responsibilities
* Support with the development and execution of SEO strategies that align with product roadmaps and business objectives.
* Collaborate with tech teams by creating and managing detailed tickets for SEO-related tasks, ensuring accurate implementation of technical SEO requirements and tracking progress through completion.
* Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product optimization and improve SEO positions for target keywords.
* Serve as a contact for the editorial team on content and on-page SEO best practices
* Perform technical SEO audits and work with engineering teams to resolve site issues related to indexing, crawling, site speed and mobile performance.
* Work with external vendors or agencies as needed to scale SEO efforts and expand capabilities (content, link building, etc.)
* Ensure alignment between SEO, content, and product teams to create SEO-friendly content and user experiences.
* Monitor and analyze SEO performance using various analytics tools including GA4, LookerStudio, Metabase, Matomo, GSC, Sistrix, Semrush, Ahrefs.
* Stay updated on the latest SEO trends and changes, summarizing their potential impact on our websites and strategies
Qualifications
* Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role.
* Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods.
* Experience with SEO tools like GA4, Looker Studio, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.
* Proficient in HTML/CSS, WordPress and JavaScript.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics.
* Familiarity with A/B testing and other performance testing methodologies.
Requirements
* Proven track record in managing and optimizing international SEO strategies, with a minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience.
* Experience working with marketing and product teams, UX designers and developers to implement SEO strategies within digital products.
* Experience with SEO tools like GA4, Looker Studio, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience conducting keyword research, SEO audits, and competitive analysis to drive product decisions.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external agencies.
* Proficiency in English; additional language skills, especially French and Spanish, are advantageous.
* Familiarity with the boating and travel sectors is a plus.
