What to Expect:
The EU Vehicle Attributes Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the driving experience related to vehicle dynamics, NVH, and braking. In particular, there will be direct responsibility over any European product localization work and the new EU-led programs from the concept phase. You’ll work in close relationship with the Berlin factory to ensure attribute quality and support any problem-solving activity.
Responsibilities:
* Build and lead a world-class team, establishing analytical modeling and development tools for all attributes.
* Lead Spain Engineering roadmap in Idiada and manage European attributes vehicles fleet to ensure consistent attributes quality in European factories.
* Set priorities for technical development based on a strategic assessment of customer happiness, as well as risks and rewards.
* Organize & support drive events, internally and at external labs and proving grounds; support continuous improvement in the Subjective/Objective correlation field.
* Headcount planning for both Engineering and Workshop in line with Tesla’s program plan.
* Perform drive assessments for attributes integration.
* Ensure team contribution to control strategies development for both existing and new active systems impacting the Vehicle Dynamics and NVH Attribute.
What You’ll Bring:
* Several years of hands-on experience in attributes development with a proven track record of delivering refined dynamics performance.
* Education in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
* A creative problem-solving mindset with technical expertise to aid teams in cultivating ideas and leading through development and execution.
* Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks to completion, collaborate, and work in a team environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Exhibit high personal standards of commitment and integrity.
* Experience with vehicle instrumentation and data analysis, manufacturing quality, vehicle dynamics & NVH objective characterization, and vehicle dynamics & NVH simulation.
* Skilled in model-based control strategies.
