Mission:
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to manage and oversee payroll processes for our employees in Spain. This role will ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies while continuously improving payroll operations.
Your Responsibilities:
* Compliance & Regulations: Ensure compliance with Spanish labor laws, tax obligations, and social security regulations.
* Payroll Systems & Tools: Work with payroll software to analyze and validate payroll data.
* Social Security & Taxes: Anticipate and analyze changes in social security contributions, IRPF (Income Tax), and other statutory deductions.
* Reporting & Audits: Generate payroll reports, reconcile payroll accounts, and support audits as needed.
* Process Improvement: Identify areas for payroll process optimization and automation.
* Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a positive attitude and the following:
* Experience: Minimum 5+ years of payroll experience in Spain.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of Spanish payroll laws, tax regulations, and social security contributions.
* Systems: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SAP, SAGE, Success Factors).
* Languages: Fluency in Spanish and an advanced level of English.
* Skills:
o Excellent analytical skills.
o Ability to work under deadlines.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
