We are a record-breaking, chart-topping mobile games studio that is currently leading in the Casual mobile gaming space.
This position requires a strong technical background, collaboration across various departments, and team mentoring to ensure optimal game performance and excellent visuals.
Responsibilities
* Technical:
o Design and implement the ‘Unity layer’ linking art and animation with the programmers’ codebase.
o Construct new game features within Unity, including Unity UI, following internal technical workflow.
o Write custom C# components for complex visual elements.
o Optimise new and existing features.
o Create animations, particle effects, and custom shaders.
* Managerial:
o Lead and mentor a team of 5 talented Technical Artists.
o Take a proactive role in product development according to company goals.
o Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
o Contribute to task planning and estimation with other Leads.
Minimum Requirements
* Technical:
o Expertise in the Unity engine, especially Unity UI.
o Experience with different architectural approaches to game development.
o Ability to write clean, performant C# code.
o Experience working with Git and knowledge of its best practices.
o Ability to create animations, particle effects and custom shaders.
o Experience optimising games for smooth performance on various devices.
* Managerial:
o Proven experience in leading a team, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
o Experience in strategic planning and accurate tasks estimation, aligning with project timelines and company objectives.
o Drive to proactively optimise technical art workflows to enhance team efficiency and performance.
