The Business Partner for GCO (Global Clinical Operations) Study Start-Up Operations (SSO) drives and ensures that DDIT global and local (where applicable) demand is captured from business and collaborates with other DDIT functions to ensure quality services are delivered to stakeholders as per agreed service descriptions.
This role contributes to creating, evolving, and driving the organization's strategy, aligning objectives with technology strategy development, solution discovery, service, risk and relationship management.
Acts as the Global Product Line Lead for the Study Start-Up Operations function within GCO.
Responsible for maximizing the value and utilization of a product line.
Owns all technical aspects of the product lifecycle in close partnership with the Business Product Manager.
Develops the technical product roadmap: from ideation to development through adoption and value realization.
Identifying and prioritizing the features to build minimum viable products towards incrementally delivering maximum business value.
Represent the business and customer strategy within the DDIT organization to recommend and provide input into Platform and Product investments and roadmaps.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Proactively shape change portfolio and technology roadmap (3-5y horizon). Drive forward thinking and innovation within business w.r.to tech-driven business capabilities and processes, leading conversation with consulting mindset together with other DDIT functions.
* Accountable for Program, project and product delivery to the business. Partner with Business to drive Business Transformation Programs enabled by technology, co-own transformation outcomes.
* Measure and drive the business value of transformation initiatives underpinned by Programs, Projects, Products. Develop knowledge above silos across business functions and ensure business accountabilities are executed.
* Improve the 'ease of engagement' with DDIT for the business. DDIT budget accountability to the business. Help business to understand their choices to manage technology costs.
* Partner with Countries or Sites (where applicable) in respect to country/site roadmaps balancing global and local investments and business needs.
* Risk ownership for investment and operations portfolio. Key business partner for business continuity. Ensure our journey to Technology Transformation supports Business objectives in a fast, simple, efficient way.
* Contributes to and interprets business and DDIT strategy to shape strategy and future direction for GCO Study Start-Up Operations function.
* Serves as point of escalation, review and approval for key issues and decisions. Fully accountable for determining the operational objectives and medium-term planning according to the long-term plans established by the DDIT Strategy.
* Articulate the business strategy and customer experience. Co-create the Product vision and roadmap with the Business Product Owner.
* Identify and prioritize features to be delivered through the Product Backlog. Ensure that the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.

IDEAL BACKGROUND
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer or IT-related field or technical discipline. MBA optional.
* More than 15 years experience working in an IT environment.
* Extensive project management and change management experience.
Experience / Professional requirements:
* Prior Clinical knowledge including that of GxP environment is a must.
* 12+ years in business partnering and delivering IT solutions in the pharma industry or similar industries.
* 5+ years of experience with end-to-end Development processes and IT landscape and technologies across functional areas.
* 5+ years Ability and experience exploring technology capabilities, industry disruptors and solutions to propose roadmaps.
* Ability to engage with senior and diverse stakeholders, connecting the dots and influencing roadmaps.
* Experience working across matrixed functional and IT teams and leading by influence to enable technical capability.
* Experience in leading cross functional teams. Problem Solving, Solution Oriented Mindset.
* Ability to handle multiple multi-million projects. Track record delivering global solutions at scale.
LANGUAGES:
Business fluent in English (written and spoken).
