Senior Business Analyst
Our opportunity
The Senior Business Analyst will be part of the “Business Performance Controlling” team within Group Investment Management and will play an integral role in ensuring the efficient operation of the team.
This position involves not only maintaining but also enhancing existing systems, processes, and tools to drive continuous excellence in Finance and Operations, covering areas such as scenario modelling, planning, accounting performance, and regulatory reporting.
Your role
As a Senior Business Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:
1. Operate and maintain the team’s data processes (ETL), identifying opportunities for optimization. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting migrations of platforms/sources, ensuring data quality by implementing robust controls, and managing diverse data systems and stakeholders.
2. Oversee and maintain the team’s applications and tools to ensure seamless operations year-round, particularly during peak usage periods. This encompasses managing access permissions, providing user support, addressing issues, creating documentation, and handling feedback to enhance user experience.
3. Assist in the management of regulatory reports and scenarios modelling, ensuring data accuracy and relevance. This includes, but is not limited to, gathering and processing the necessary inputs to generate the report, updating existing dashboards to reflect the latest changes, and performing validations to promptly address any discrepancies.
Your Skills and Experience
As a Senior Business Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in R/Python programming and SQL; familiarity with Azure or Databricks is an added advantage.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
5. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
