Main Responsibilities:
The Product Owner (PO) ultimate accountability and responsibility is to deliver a workable product that delivers business value, every sprint. The PO is a member of the Agile Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog. (S)He has a significant role in quality control and is the only team member empowered to accept stories as done.
Key Responsibilities, as PO:
1. Owns the “Product” from a “What” and “Why” perspective (accountable for vision and requirements) for their specified product, or component (if multiple delivery teams involved in solution delivery).
2. Works with scrum master and engineering delivery team daily, answering questions, addressing ambiguities, and being readily available when issues arise that could delay the project.
3. Is accountable for delivering incremental value every sprint, aligning with the overall goals from the business.
4. Can negotiate Yes/No with the Business and/or the Digital Towers.
5. Works closely and owns relationship with Customer Experience.
6. Owns backlog prioritization of work.
7. Creates requirements and Jira stories.
8. Keeps the vision of the product up to date.
9. Owns the roadmap and sprint priorities.
10. Ensures follow up and reporting of KPI.
11. Ensures that Digital Product/computerized system meets all controls to address applicable quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.) and cybersecurity requirements.
The Product:
The customer interaction data foundations: an enterprise data asset providing the Customer 360 view of all interactions with common metrics in Sanofi and ultimately raw data available. It enables many analytical use cases while ensuring a consistent view of our customers and supporting our strategy for better cross-channel understanding. Relying on our technical stack standard, data is easily available for other platforms (local or global): use this single source of truth & build your analytics faster!
About You:
Experience:
1. Ability to connect tech and business worlds.
2. Business acumen.
3. Knowledge of Commercial Pharma business highly preferable.
4. Ability to prioritize among conflicting priorities and requests in a complex, multinational environment.
5. Data-driven - product analytics matter!
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Curiosity, asking the “Why” questions from the business to understand business rules better and the “How” questions from the development team to create a better vision of what the final product should be.
8. Proven experience with Agile practices and expectations.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Creativity to go beyond current processes to deliver the best solution for a problem or opportunity.
11. Experience guiding large-scale, data-centric software products.
12. Experience leading multi-department teams: clarifying requirements, resolving conflicts, defining roadmap and driving progress.
Soft Skills:
1. Good communication skills that can adapt to different teams and personality types.
2. Ability to commit strongly and daily to the project, vision, team, and the business.
3. Ability to say “no” in a way that will not discourage or upset the business, explaining why a feedback item will or will not be developed and effectively moving the team towards productive conversations.
4. Ability to navigate and communicate smoothly from the small backlog items to the larger business goal aligned.
