The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for leading and supporting District Managers and Event Managers who oversee a part-time workforce of Sales Advisors executing Costco Vendor Events and CDS projects across Spain, France, and Sweden. This role ensures operational KPIs are consistently met while delivering a high-quality member experience. Working closely with Sales and Account Managers, field personnel, and various business support units, the Regional Operations Manager fosters operational excellence and consistency across all assigned markets.
Supervisory
* Conduct regular market visits for performance reviews, warehouse audits, and Event Manager (EM) development
* Oversee recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of field associates
* Lead and coach team to achieve performance goals; conduct weekly calls to share updates and set priorities
* Provide ongoing direction and support to Event Managers; manage performance reviews and development plans
Project Scheduling / Coordination / Management / Maintenance
* Ensure successful project execution by prioritizing and organizing multiple events across markets
* Partner with local managers and Event Specialists to align on client and business goals
* Ensure staffing and scheduling align with execution requirements, event manuals, and food safety standards
Customer Relations (Internal / External)
* Build strong and consistent relationships with Costco Operations teams at the warehouse level and Regional team.
* Ensure client and vendor expectations are met through effective collaboration and field support
Personnel Development
* Conduct field observations of Event Managers and provide performance feedback
* Develop customized development plans for team members based on performance, potential, and succession needs
Administration / Reporting
* Review KPI reports and provide action plans based on trends and findings.
* Drive accountability to meet General Manager (GM) survey targets (goal: 9/10 rating)
Budget / Expense Control
* Manage field expenses, supply inventory, and procurement to ensure fiscal discipline
* Ensure accurate labor forecasting and maintain staffing within budget parameters

5+ years of experience in Retail Operations Manager or Operations District Manager within the retail industry, hospitality industry, event marketing industry or food industry.
10+ years of Supervisory experience

* Fluent in English, Spanish and French
* Strong initiative and self-directed, ability to work independently with little or no supervision
* Strong understanding and experience managing large remote sales team operations
* Ability to work though others with strong delegation skills
* Strong organizational and follow up skills

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong understanding of retail reporting systems
* Intermediate to advanced PC skills; this includes a good understanding of spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software
