Tasks & Responsibilities
In your role as IT System Engineer, you will contribute to global development projects and be responsible for planning, solution design, technical architecture, implementation, qualification, and handover to the operational support units.
Your passion for IT systems, technologies and interfaces will enable you to act as a link between development and business teams, shaping requirements to ensure the successful implementation of projects or system enhancements.
Working alongside your teammates, you will play a significant role in developing concepts for software solutions, contributing your ideas, and expanding your technical expertise.
You will support integration tests, developer tests, and software documentation, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
You will assume responsibility for 3rd level support in your area, involving external partners to ensure seamless collaboration between them.
In close coordination with relevant stakeholders in IT, you will support the harmonization, simplification, and automation of IT services and processes.
Finally, you will be end-to-end responsible for maintaining and continuously improving processes & systems in your area throughout their lifecycle, including their deployment and implementation on platform solutions such as SAP.
Requirements
University degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
Several years of IT experience, particularly in implementing SAP or SAP-based Supply Chain Planning solutions.
Comprehensive experience in concept development, solution design, hands-on configuration, and customization in SAP ERP (S/4 HANA) and/or other SAP-based systems.
Familiarity with application infrastructure, software update services, system lifecycle, Cloud Computing, AI, RPA, and Data Analytics would be a plus.
Experience in GxP regulated environments and understanding of life science supply chain management processes are beneficial.
Analytical mindset with experience in complex IT system landscapes, focusing on the technical integration of global processes and application systems.
A motivated team player who is not just passionate about innovative IT solutions, but also has a global mindset.
Willingness to travel - in case needed, approximately quarterly.
Given the global nature of this position, strong communication and presentation skills as well as English fluency are essential. German knowledge would be a plus.
