POSITION SUMMARY: The role of the Finance Manager is to have ownership of all complex accounting activities and financial analyses. This individual will ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. The Sr. Accountant will utilize their experience and expertise alongside management serving to enforce and monitor compliance with company-wide accounting policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for accounting department to ensure and produce error-free accounting reporting and present the results, ensuring compliance with GAAP principles and responsible for accounting constant update (i.e. Purchase request, bookkeeping etc.).
* Responsible for accounting department to ensure Group Monthly Closing Reporting in IFRS, Monthly Group Intercompany balances reconciliation process.
* Responsible for the company cash management and cash Forecasting, periodic bank reconciliations as well as the preparation of all company payments.
* Liaise with higher management to improve the organizations financial procedures, participating in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
* Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
* Analyze financial information and summarize the financial status-includes spotting errors and suggesting solutions to improve efficiency and spending.
* Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
* Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
* Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies.
* Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
* Manage internal/external audits with GM to ensure compliance throughout the organization.
* Prepare financial reports and assist with tax audits and returns.
* Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings; preparation of assigned Quarterly and Annual Statutory Statement pages/schedules.
* Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
* SAP knowledge.
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate is a proactive organizer, professional and problem-solver. The role involves working with a cross functional team both junior & senior stakeholders and complex situations. A calm demeanor, measured attitude and positive outlook are essential to success. SAP knowledge is required.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA certification preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years + of relevant work experience in accounting and management.
* Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles; in depth understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS.
* Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
* Able to analyze financial records and interpret for other departments.
* Must possess superb communication skills both verbal and written; possesses great interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Advanced knowledge of Excel is required and familiar with accounting software.
