Requirements:
* Degree in Biology, Marine Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, or related fields.
* Master’s in Scientific Communication (completed or in progress) or related field.
* High level of spoken and written English.
* Advanced text writing skills in Spanish.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications (Office, Teams, etc.).
* Advanced skills in creating, editing, and managing websites and social media.
* Skills in producing audiovisual projects.
* Ability to work in a team and good social skills.
Desirable:
* Specialization in aquatic ecosystems in general, and marine ecosystems in particular.
* Knowledge of aquatic macrophytes.
* Certifications for handling recreational boats and scuba diving with autonomous diving gear.
* Driver’s license.
* Residence in Blanes or nearby areas.
Tasks to be performed (among others):
* Technical coordination of a Research Network of the State Research Agency: Spanish Experts Network in Blue Carbon Ecosystems.
* Management of the group's websites and social media.
* Organization of meetings.
* Preparation of Layman-type materials based on the group’s scientific production.
* Creation of high-quality graphic and audiovisual communication materials.
* Creation of high-quality PowerPoint presentations.
* Preparation of press releases.
* Management of the group's documentary and graphic materials (photos and videos).
Conditions (negotiable):
* Two-year part-time contract (indefinite type for research project duties): 25 hours on-site (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM); Approximately 14,000€ gross annual salary.
* Workplace: Advanced Studies Center of Blanes (CSIC), Blanes, Girona.
* Research group: Aquatic Macrophyte Ecology Group (game-csic.com).
* Start date: June 2025.
